Rev it up and burn some calories fast in this 40 minute power spin class. Great stress reliever. No previous experience required. Class size is limited.

Comfortable athletic wear and sneakers or bike shoes. First-time spinners, please arrive ten minutes early for basic bike instruction and setup.

Enrollment is rolling, walk-ins are welcome. So please join us anytime!

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. You’ll receive a punch card or admission ticket to present to your instructor at each class.


About the Instructors

Bonnie Zwissler Bonnie Zwissler is currently a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech. She is a Mad Dogg certified Spinning instructor and has 3 years of spinning instruction experience. She has previously earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering at Widener University in Chester, PA and her M.S. in Civil Engineering at Michigan Tech.

Bonnie enjoys staying active and believes that variety is the key to fitness. She competed on the varsity cross country and track and field teams at Widener University. Since, she has competed in road races, triathlons, mud runs and other fun races.

Krista Cone Krista Cone, a Calumet native, is currently finishing up her undergraduate degree at Michigan Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Management. This summer she is pursuing an internship with Tech's Strength and Conditioning program, as well as teaching within Community Programs and working in the fitness center. Her goal is to work within an Athletic Department, while still instructing group exercise. She plans to get her ACSM Personal Training certification within the next year. Krista is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and is a lover of sports. She enjoys traveling, high intensity exercise programs, and spending time outdoors doing recreational activities such as trail running, competitive mud races, kayaking, and exploring the Upper Peninsula.

Laura Hamlett holds a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Michigan. She has participated in and taught various fitness classes for the last 15 years, worked as a certified instructor for the last 3 years and has numerous Fit Tour Certifications. Laura believes that a variety of fitness experiences keeps a person healthy — which is why she went out of her comfort zone and ran her first half-marathon with her niece last August. She currently teaches classes to all ages and athletic levels and is thrilled to be teaching spinning at Michigan Tech. In Laura's classes, you'll enjoy a wide range of music and work your whole body.
