Total Body Spin Workshops

Strengthen and sculpt your body through this educational workshop designed to ease you into your own workout regimen or join some of our high intensity classes! An introduction to basic training principles and movements will be provided, followed by basic instructions necessary to begin an indoor cycling class. Learn techniques for indoor cycling as well as interval-based resistance training utilizing some of our most popular features like TRX suspension training, kettle bells, and a fast-paced exercise circuit. Both high intensity workouts are guaranteed to give you your strength and cardio fix! All fitness levels welcome. Class size is limited.

Special Requirements

Comfortable athletic wear and sneakers or bike shoes. First-time spinners, please arrive ten minutes early for basic bike instruction and setup.

Cost per Day

Community member $10; Michigan Tech student $8

Registration and payment can be completed online, by phone at 906-487-2073, or at the SDC Ticket Office. You’ll receive an admission ticket to present to your instructor at each class.


About the Instructor

Krista Cone

Krista Cone, a Calumet native, is currently finishing up her undergraduate degree at Michigan Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Management. This summer she is pursuing an internship with Tech's Strength and Conditioning program, as well as teaching within Community Programs and working in the fitness center. Her goal is to work within an Athletic Department, while still instructing group exercise. She plans to get her ACSM Personal Training certification within the next year. Krista is passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle and is a lover of sports. She enjoys traveling, high intensity exercise programs, and spending time outdoors doing recreational activities such as trail running, competitive mud races, kayaking, and exploring the Upper Peninsula.
