General Information
Michigan Tech’s eight-lane, 25-yard pool provides opportunities for lap, recreational, and open swimming. A separate diving well has two one-meter diving boards and a three-meter diving board. The Student Development Complex lap pool and dive tank are licensed by the State of Michigan and inspected by the Western U.P. District Health Department.
Recreational Swim and Private Rentals
Jump into the water to perfect your backstroke, swim for fitness—or just splash around and cool off. Michigan Tech students have access to the Pool through student fees and faculty, staff, and community members can purchase SDC Access Passes in a variety of price and length options.
Lessons, Programs and Clubs
Community swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, Lifeguard certification courses and Outdoor Adventure Programs (OAP) are all available at the SDC Pool. There are also several student organizations that hold weekly reservations for their clubs.
