group water fitness class

Registration and payment can be completed online. Participants must sign SDC waiver of liability and concussion awareness forms prior to participation. The SDC is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please do not leave valuables unattended.

What you put into a class is what you will get out of it, so make the water work for you! Come find your depth. Whether you prefer the deep or the shallow end, you won't be in over your head. Use the water for a workout that is low on impact but high in resistance, that will get your heart pumping and leave you feeling energized.

Activity Level

Moderate to high

SDC Pool

The Student Development Complex lap pool and dive tank are licensed by the State of Michigan and inspected by the Western U.P. District Health Department. Accordingly, the water is analyzed and the temperature is taken daily. The new heating system keeps the water constantly between 82-83 degrees.

Special Requirements

Appropriate swimwear (bathing suits, no cutoffs or street clothes) and a towel. Water shoes are optional but recommended. Though exercises are performed with your head above the water, swim caps and goggles are recommended.
