Power flow linked with breath at a faster pace than traditional vinyasa. This class will build more heat than traditional vinyasa. There will be extra poses with a repetition of movements, which will help build strength and will also add a cardiovascular element and more of a calorie burn. Let go of the day as you flow with balance, strength, and flexibility. Most classes end with a short meditation.

About the Instructor

Angela Campioni, Yoga Instructor

Angela Campioni, Yoga Instructor  — Angela Campioni is local to the area. She went to school in Hancock and Marquette. She started going to fitness classes at Soumi College when she was younger, then went to many fitness classes at MTU, NMU, and Keweenaw Memorial Rehab and Fitness in Houghton. Angela has always enjoyed individual sports like swimming, track, biking, and skiing. She attended college in the Upper Peninsula – Northern Michigan University and Finlandia University. She has been studying and researching health and wellness in classes and on her own time since high school. After college, Angela went on to a trade school, learning massage at the Institute of Natural Therapies to become a certified massage therapist. She has taken several John Barnes Method (MFR) classes since 2010 and has continued practicing this technique since, as well as being dedicated to this method and learning more from then until now. These classes incorporate myofascial release techniques which really help relieve dysfunction in the body. After several years of doing massage therapy and MFR, Angela took up yoga teacher training in early 2017 to fulfill her dream of becoming a fitness instructor. Taking the Yogafit yoga teacher training gave her a wide range of classes and skills in her teacher training certification. Always loving health and working as a health coach while being a massage therapist and yoga teacher, she finished her Health Coach training in 2022. Having these three things along with some spiritual work has really worked well, as they all can be connected to one another. The words she feels represent her yoga practice are breath, peace, and energy. Angela enjoys reading, photography, being outdoors, fashion, and spending time with her family.
