About the Races

This event is a Super CXC Cup Event and results will be scored to the Regional and National (NRL) ranking lists. The CXC Cup events are sanctioned by the U.S. Ski & Snowboard; a current 2020-21 Cross Country General or Competitor U16+ membership is required to enter a race. In addition to the JNQ, Michigan Tech will host a race for alumni and friends upon completion of the JNQ race on Sunday.

Start Lists

Start lists for Saturday are posted on Superior Timing's website.

Live Streaming

These races will be streamed live (https://livestream.com/engagelivetsream/2020cxccup).

Wax Regulation and Facilities

Fluoro waxes are not permitted at the Michigan Tech trails and are not allowed at this event. The wax facility at the Michigan Tech trails will be closed and not be available for these races. Some outdoor power hook-ups will be available.

Michigan Tech CXC Cup Races COVID Mitigation Requirements

All coaches, competitors, race officials, and volunteers attending the Michigan Tech CXC Cup races on January 2-3, 2021, are required to comply with the COVID mitigation plan. This includes the race preview day on January 1, 2021.

Upon arrival, individuals will be directed to the race secretary building to complete a symptom checklist. Everyone should take their temperature before arriving and be ready to report the results. The individual will receive a wristband that is to be worn at all times at the facility. This process must be completed each day. Without the wristband, a skier or coach will not have access to the ski trails and related facilities.

While we discourage visitors, we understand that some may need to attend these races. Visitors must complete the Michigan Tech COVID-19 tracking form each day, must wear masks at all times, and must maintain social distancing. Those not adhering to these requirements will be asked to leave.
