Group 1 — Summer 2024

For younger players ready to gain fundamental skills and get into the game, Michigan Tech's Group 1 Hockey Camps are the best place to start! Students are given the opportunity to learn each position (except for goaltending), with plenty of practice time—programs are built around daily on-ice instruction, focusing on power-skating, shooting, passing, positional playing, and small area games. Off-ice programming includes hockey skills and age-appropriate competitive games. Participants learn and practice under personalized direction from Michigan Tech’s staff as well as current varsity players, alumni, and guest instructors.

Group 2 — Summer 2024

Michigan Tech's Group 2 Camps are for players looking to gain all of the fundamental skills of hockey. Students are given the opportunity to learn each position (apart from goaltending) with plenty of practice time—programs are built around daily on-ice instruction, focusing on power-skating, shooting, passing, positional playing, small area games, competitive battle drills, angling, and defensive play. Off-ice programming includes hockey skills, age-appropriate competitive games, video review, and lectures. Participants learn and practice under personalized direction from Michigan Tech’s staff as well as current varsity players, alumni, and guest instructors.

Group 3 — Summer 2024

Our Group 3 camp stresses both individual and team skills, including the role of the forward and defenseman in breakout patterns, neutral-zone techniques, offensive-zone alignments, checking systems, playing position, and team play. Each day, players spend time on the ice developing skills for shooting, puck protection, power-skating, and body contact. Small-area games and battle drills are presented to increase a player's competitive edge. Participants learn and practice under personalized direction from Michigan Tech’s staff as well as current varsity players, alumni, and guest instructors.
