About the Instructor

Lindsey Larson, Diving Instructor

Lindsey Larson was born and raised in central Minnesota. She took up springboard diving as a freshman in high school and continued through her senior year. During that time, she accumulated all-conference honors, competed at the state meet as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and was a state finalist as a junior and senior. She continued diving into her freshman year of college at Minnesota State University - Mankato, where her competitive diving career finished as she chose to transfer schools due to academics. After completing her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, she moved back to her hometown where she began coaching middle and high school divers. She had the privilege of coaching athletes toward multiple record-breaking performances. Some of her athletes were conference and section champions, and state medalists. Her coaching career was short-lived as her husband’s career brought them back to his hometown here in the U.P. in 2014. She is excited to bring more springboard diving opportunities to the Copper Country and looks forward to teaching any eager athletes! Outside of the pool, Lindsey works in the community in the health and fitness industry. When she is not at work or in the gym, you can find her at home with her husband, four children, and their dog!
